Failed

Contributed by pompous on Sunday, 14th March 2004 @ 09:19:43 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

its like Im out to fail
my world about to set sail
a never ending nightmare
never worthy of a care
can't seem to do anything right
can't seem to put up a fight
but what's it all worth in the end
my life's road is an uphill bend
just when I think Im free
and the sun finally shines on me
the clouds quickly cover
Im left there to suffer
what's a sigh worth when no one can hear
hope is too far away from here
seems like Im falling
but no-one's calling
I failed everyone even myself
and the photos are falling off the shelf
give me just one more reason to live on and try
one more reason why I shouldn't give up and die

Don't give up. The sun will eventually shine for you. Just keep on the straight and narrow and keep putting one foot ahead of the other. You will eventually get to where you want to go. It worked for me, it can work for you too.

Wow, I could've almost witten this myself you know. My family make me feel like this all the time but I've come to the conclusion, if they don't want to be positive influences in my life then bye bye, don't need them, they are not worthy of my time. I'm sure you have someone who will listen to your call, I will if you like, been there, done that, got the t-shirt lol. Pm me if you wanna rant.

Ali xx

A vivid expression of hopelessness and despair...I have similar views and experiences....one thing to be grateful for and to continue to soldier on in your dreary existance though...you did write this and I must say it is rather nice. I have made it my mission to spread misery through poetry as my revenge upon an unforgiving world...you could do as wel..he he he....anyway...nice one!
