A year later I look back
On that relationship that we had
And now I dont know why it was so hard to say goodbye
People tried to tell me the person you really were
I never quite believed them
I didnt understand why you would lie
But I did miss you for a long time
After you told me that our relationship wasnt right
I cried just about every night
It hurt so much. more than youll ever know
My heart was broken
My appetite gone
But to you I was just another girl
Nothing special, no one to hold on to
But now that its been a year I feel so much better
And through all the pain and sorrow
I dont regret a thing
I learned so much from what youve done
And itll surely stay with me for relationships to come
