Step inside my mind,
see the things I do not tell.
Memories I have put behind,
feel the things I hide so well.
Look at me, the smile I keep
Is just an act
I am a soul who has been hurt so bad
My heart is crying to be set free
Dance with me, if just awhile
Touch my face
Wipe the tears from my eyes
And hold me, do not push me away
To most I seem so strong,
So able to handle anything
Yet each night I lay and I cry
To afraid to close my tired eyes
Walk with me, through the woods
Take my hand, I will guide you through
Trust in me
As I will learn to trust in you
