I've been through pain and sorrow
Cried the day before and laughed tomorrow
Waited through the rain
And learned to maintain
I'm not about to throw it away
Nothing else for me to do or say
Life's an adventure
And I'm up for the ride
I'm in the open now
With or without you by my side
So all that has passed is gone
But sometimes letting go
is a sign of being strong
Now you decide to come along
Trying to set your rules and prove me wrong
I'm smarter that before
Know how to deal with you and I am sure
I am not about to be playing your game
cause i've changed to the better
but you stayed the same

Hold your head up, that's the way to go. I like the way you wrote this, and if it isn't the way that you feel now, then that's too bad, but at least you know that you'll feel that way again
