THOSE DESPERADOS OF YORE

Contributed by rhymeandreason on Wednesday, 17th March 2004 @ 04:03:15 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I know where they're going,
'cause i've seen where they've been.
These boys just keep rolling,
like they're close to a win.
Thinking; "Check-mate in three moves."

And "Set match and game." Then one shoots off his foot,

with his misguided aim.

There once was a gang
they said couldn't shoot straight.
Couldn't sing, couldn't dance,
fish or cut bait.
That's these boys yessiree.
Those desperados of yore.
Look! He just shot off his foot!
Then he fell to the floor.

This is truly a good depiction of people like that. They seem to have more hot air than brains. They always get theirs in the end and just like this story, usually by their own hand.

An Amusing short story, told with your now familiar wit.
Good job.
