STRUMMING FEELINGS

"STRUMMING FEELINGS"

Playing away on my guitar......
soaring feeling near and far!
Each string, a different one.
I feel them all whenever I strum.
In a world without love,
in a world without care.
Most have put down their guitars, too many
strings broken...it's simply unfair!

Feel, receive an impression, sensation!
Don't stop strumming, singing imitation.
Let your feelings soar, clear to the roof tops.
With all eyes watching, sadness with
teardrops!

Without feelings, the soul grows dim.......
The heart becomes cold hard rock,
deep within.
Where's the comfort, sympathy, empathy,
do you know?
They've switched to the Banjo,
with it's deathblow.

No Harmony, just a ding, ding, ding...
Hearts have died, shrunk so small,
none can sing.
Inflicted blows, not strumming any longer
upon their strings.
Stretched like rubber bands, tuneless beings.

Searching for their feelings, they find pleasure
In sensuous sex, mind altering drugs,
hidden cover.
Eliminating forever, altering for bitter.
Feelings buried deeper, and deeper,
emerges hate for brother.

Souls wither without laughter, without song
Strum your guitars all day long.
If you cultivate your feelings you're capable
of loving.
Without, walking dead people only
hoping for dying.

Feel and get in touch, feeling your strings on
your guitar.
If you've managed to survive with wonderful
feelings near and far...
Play on the house tops where all eyes can see....
Listening hearts may absorb, before you flee!

In a world without love,
In a world filled with lawlessness
The Love of the greater number has cooled
to nothingness!
Raise your heards erect, and n'er stop
singing your beautiful songs.....
Survive with your feelings, loving,
and caring to whom belongs!

In an empty heart there is room for nothing!"

"You cannot keep love unless you give it away~ This one I have found to be true
for me anyway!"

You are such an inspiration to me ConSue. I can be crying and when I read your poems I smile again. I loved this stanza---

"Souls wither without laughter, without song
Strum your guitars all day long.
If you cultivate your feelings you're capable
of loving.
Without, walking dead people only
hoping for dying."

There are so many people in the world like that. You described them so accurately.

Okay now I can't play the guitar but I do try!

Loved this one so much ConSue. Kie

Yes, my life is certainly filled with music of the many hearts near me. Each one sings a different song, but the combined melody is so devine. Blessed is he who hears the music of anothers soul.

Hugs,
Rita

What a daze,
a wistful splendid haze,
What a song,
to which passions are flung,
Great work,
a case of fine wine uncorked.
Excuse me please,
I am off to find a guitar to lease....
to add my own melody
to the songs of life's symphony.
