PUBLIC TELIVISION

Contributed by PRECIOUSBECKY on Thursday, 18th March 2004 @ 03:04:28 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I don't understand why people say-
why are there teenage mothers- why is there rape-
why do people molest children-why do they cheat on their spouse-
let me tell you the reason-it is in your living room- your very own house-
You push one little button and the devil pours in all around- 2 -11- 13- it doesn't matter what channel you've found.

Why are there kidnappers and murderers
you think they have voices in their head-
not normal -sick
NO- it's public television instead.

Subliminal messages that you don't even know you hear- until the lust overwhelms you and you become what you've always feared.

Public television teaching our children-while we kill ourselves to survive-
romanticizing love affairs- husbands cheating on wives
murderers killing- portrayed to have a cause
promoting all that is wicked-breaking all the laws.

Public television breeds perversion- turn it off
read a book -create some diversion
billions spent in the U.S. to fight the war on terrorism- yet promoting all it stands for -FREE- and covering it up by calling it PUBLIC TELEVISION.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
