that's what he said
felt like dying
thought he was dead
breathless
blacked out
down on his knees
face in the dirt
I stood watching
slow motion
silently
screaming
stopped breathing
saw stars in my eyes
felt myself swallowed up
disappeared
fell to my knees
face in the dirt
the end always comes
