Drops So Deep

Contributed by Arius-Inues on Friday, 19th March 2004 @ 10:30:06 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

My soul was a once happy place,
But after all that has conspires,
The land so fertile with warmth,
Went baron and cold,
The sky seemed to cloud,
The thunder roared,
When I was angry,
And lightining flashed,
When You hurt me,
And the clouds cried,
When I was so sad,
But once there was a bit of sun,
If only for a moment,
But it felt good,
I stand in a very deep pit,
With a rock for a roof,
This roof has a hole,
And look up is all I can do,
Drops so deep,
They seem like a water fall,
They all seem to pile up,
The pit is allmost full,
But I cant reach the hole,
Swimming so long,
I cant keep up,
So I just let go,
And sink,
The breath has left me,
Almost like life,
Has faded from my face,

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
