The power of Poetry

-------______---------

"The mind is an amazing place. A place where getting lost can mean you found what you where looking for.." Enjoy my write and comment plz.. MaJ

---------_____--------

I fill this paper with explosives
my words coming at you ferocious
do you hear what I write, read what I say?
Will my words make you get on your knees and pray?

Socrates, Philosophies,
And hypotheses
It’s like an explosion when my pen hits
on this paper, the words are tremendous

Shattering the masses
With drastic poetic tactics
This is my testament to those burned
Understand my life and you'll stand firm

My thoughts are flaming, they taste so sweet
the thrill of victory, filled with the agony of defeat
Will my words travel through you like a vortex
through your spine to your cerebral cortex?

My words sometimes swollow me whole
Poems of my mind exploit my soul
Burned like a tree time and time again
My pens shows my heart where to begin

As my emotions continue to flow
This pad of paper becomes my home
Pouring out my pain and all my fears
The ink in this pen replaces my tears

Battered and bruised, beaten and bled
My mind never empty, my thoughts never dead
Pain and agony, Fears and emotion
I hope you trully can feel my devotion!

I would like to thank everyone who has ever taken the time to read my work. The fact that you read it alone, makes me realize people are atleast a bit interested in my works. And to all those that comment on my work. Thank you. Your comments have made me a better writter and a better person. Emy, Kia, Cobolt, and everyone else I have exchanged comments with. Thank you.. You are truly the reasons this site continues to run. Keep up the great work and may you always have the poetic touch..

MaJ!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
