it wasn't hard to fall for you
it's such an easy thing to do
i close my eyes and fantasize
imagining a love so true
i wove a story that would
make Shakespeare sigh
a tender love story
just to make you laugh and cry
i gave you qualities you didn't possess
it was a bit insane i must admit
you say you don't know how
i captured your heart but
you claim it is for keeps
you're not sure how i took control
or knocked you right off of your feet
