They Turn Away

They have all deserted me.
My friends, my family, the ones I love.
They have turned their backs on me.
There are no humans to hold me above.
My God is the only one that is here for me.
He is the only one that does care.
I turn to him to protect me.
I need him to help me because this I can't bare.
Is this the plan he has for me?
Why does he make me feel so alone?
I need someone that will care for me.
Some one I can call on the phone.
Someone that will hold me.
I had one special night in my life.
When I felt that God was holding me.
He kept me from slitting my throat with a knife.
He held me in his arms and I knew he loved me.
For once in my life I felt there was a reason to live.
There was someone that would always be there for me.
And he is always willing to give.

I'm not sure if this poem is based on an actual event or not but if it is it sounds like you've been blessed and touched spiritually. There's a reason for all of God's creatures and each one of us are special to Him. You're right when you say we are never alone.
