When we first met Somehow, I knew You would tear my world all apart I'm willing to bet Before it's all through I lay all the blame on my heart
(chorus) My mind tells me to put you away My heart, it pleads, to let you stay If my mind had it's way I would leave it alone But my heart has a mind of it's own
I heard through the vine That you are back in town I know I will feel that old burn I hear in my mind "Don't let your guard down" But my foolish heart, never seems to learn
Chorus

Oh wonderful poem! Well what can I say my dear, Life's full of risks we must take sometimes its better to let our guard down for a moment of joy, its worth the bitterness. (Well sometimes not always). Great write!!
