Everything spins around
I'll never reach up from the ground
I'm forever broken down
I'll never grow to be better
I'll be stuck being in second
I've surrendered my being
Trying to keep the worst of me
I never saw this coming
I was blind to the warning signs
But now I've succumbed to being
Less than what I began as
I've become lost in the shuffle
Another statistic that's fallen
Into the depths of dysfunction
Drowning in my own problems
I've been forsaken with nothing
I'm a slave to the one thing I hate
Now I'm lost in this life
That I've sunk into
Time is the only thing
That allows me to escape
Everyday I wait patiently
Till I can leave second place
Till I can leave the ground
Till I can be free of slavery
I won't succomb to anything less
I've sunk too far already
Another day is passing while I wait
