A weave of feathrey patchwork that cascades across the skies Where memries make tomorrow and the sunlight takes disguise When oceans waltz in sapphire steps and the winged hope still flies And no one understands a word the lost breeze still implies
A gentle run bequeathed in sun through brilliant rays reverse Where skies dye gold in time foretold and raindrops all disperse The silent song where joy belongs in timeless words traverse And woe is but a singsong line in shimmring rainbow verse
Drifting high beyond despair, sinking down below nights stare The tender kiss of white on air, a fleeting wisp that soothes the glare Enticing minds in fragrant care, nocturnal roses drunk on prayer Omnipresent yet still so rare, when happiness still frolicked bare
The perfect night of dazzling right and frivolous monsoons Whence shadows prance star-stuck romance and twinkle childrens June The wishes carried on by drafts and evening gone too soon When clouds aligned in silver steps the stairway to the moon
A waft of night intoxicates depression through the gloom Aloft delight reciprocates regressions of the loom Where winking jewels beset the sky and death is in full bloom
Finesse redresses midnight heir and life becomes the tomb

I'm not sure what's more staggering---your command of rhyme, meter, and vocabulary...or how perfectly you employ them into incredible poetry such as this. This has everything in place, and that professional touch and polish that i've come to expect (and respect) from you. Magnificently written.
Truly,
-V.S. |

Cryptic, yet rapturous.
The 2nd line, 4rth stanza was particularly impressive . . .
"Whence shadows prance star-stuck romance and twinkle children’s June"
A lesson in rhyme and structure I will pay heed to...
Thanks for sharing. |
