Peace Over War

Contributed by Dralion on Sunday, 21st March 2004 @ 10:19:49 AM in AEST
Topic: political

Right closed fist means war.
Left open hand means peace.
We always strive to put peace over war.

Right clenched fist.
Oil-fueled blood lust.
Poor men fighting for the rich.
A new empire beckons.

Left open hand;
stop, wait, think.
Question the "knowledge".
Corporate-processed for
the protection of the powerful.

I've chosen my path.
Closed hands hide things.
WMD's that can be debunked
with WMI's.

I choose to tread the path of peace.

Peace is pre-emptive.
Eliminate the fuel
and you quench the flame.

Stand like the heroes did.
Fear in the hearts,
fire in their bellies.
We're on a roll now,
but need to keep on.

I wish the entire world would stand with open left hands. We are destroying ourselves and our world. What do future generations have to look forward too? This is an excellent write and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to YPDC. I will look forward to more of your writes.

Why is the left hand associated with the evil side..? You show we all should open our left hands! Very good poem.

great use of the hands image. it brought out a lot of meaning just from that

ultimately and ironically, we're fighting for peace, at least that's what we think

i personally don't favor that disgusting word "war"

great job on this

take care
