Sometimes my heart won't let me... touch or hold you tight
I just feel like I'm sinking... lost in the sands of life and time
Hoping just to get you out of my mind...
It's not that I don't love you...
'Cause I DO... with all of my heart... with all of my soul
You're constantly on my mind... both day and night
You're in my every waking moment...
And walking softly through my dreams at night...
When you came into my life...
You were a lost little child wandering so free through this life
So full of broken promises and empty dreams
'Cause when I peered behind those beautiful eyes
I saw where your pain lies... so deep... so wide...
A turmoil that keeps churning inside...
So violently at times
I can't pretend not to notice...
Or even to know how it feels
As you try and deal... with all of your pain inside...
But just...
To touch you...
To hold you...
To love you...
To let love flow...
To let love show...
A love so deep...
A love so beautiful...
A love so real...
A love so unconditional...
A love that I was given... from Heaven above
To pass on to someone... who knows not of it's power...
The power of love
'Cause when I touch you...
I want to wrap my love about you
When I hold you...
I want to hold you close and tight...
Reassure you everything's going to be all right
Just to show you... a love that's truly from the heart
The kind of love you've never felt before
A love that lasts a lifetime through
This is my only wish for you...
