Another Day Lived
Where my heart goes
My mind doesn't follow
They battle each other
With reasons of why
Its driving me insane
Why can't I just love?
Where does it say
That you have to be
Perfect in everything
My heart is locked
Key thrown away
In a moment's haste
Save me from sinking
Beneath the waves
Of despair within me
Everything floating
Above me while I sink
Bottoms up Heaven's Hell
and grace
Sensation of burning
Desire unbecoming
Passion of the heart
Locked away another
Day to wait
Why must I love thee?
Taken for granted again
Standing tall and alone
No help from those above
Another day wasted
Freedom of living
Freedom taken by chains
Of love(X3)
Chains from my beloved
Shackles of obligation
Handcuffs of servitude
Stripes of humility
Another day lived
Another day of prison
(From thee)
Create within me a feeling
Of seeing and being
Believing the impossible
Helplessness disregarded
Hope for another day
Today I pray
While the metal fades
I'm free with nothing
Shackled by love and fear
Of losing those I care for
Simply unmistakable
Today is another day lived for

wow this one triggers a memory for me.
In 1979 I was dating aguy that was a few year younger than me.
I told him I was afraid that the age difference would eventually 'cause him 2 stray, his reply,
U know, sometimes u can worry about something and 'cause it 2 happen."
He was right, we split and he married someone much older than I was.......
fear-n-luv r two of the most powerfull emotions and they can defastate us if we let them.
this is a very good write as it puts one 2 thinking.
Very moving.
