You wish you could understand me
as I blink back my tears
I wish for none of you to understand me
cuz to do so would mean
that you felt my same pain
I push you away
as hard as I can
I cover my face
so you cannot see
and wish to have the same destiny as me
I feel more dead than alive
I feel more alone and scared
And sometimes I forget
and reach out in pain
You are always there to hold me
and now I cry out in shame.
I want you to go.
Don't catch me when I am down.
Let me fall.
Please don't answer when I call.
It's too late to save me
and now all I can do
is hope to save you.
