vast ocean of imagination
ideas like swells roll out
for miles and miles
rippling to the horizon
before falling off the edge
into thoughtless waves
heralding the new day
as it completes its circle
the puff of white clouds
illuminated by sunlight
perform acrobatic feats
above rolling terrain
while I find a hilltop
where I can see you
in the distance
as you come to me
with your loping gait
and I keep smiling
with every step you take
we have made plans
for a first kiss
and my imagination
can hardly wait
