I can softly feel, This darkness closing in, Covering up my mind, My thoughts slowly become a sin. Shielding me from the world, There'll be no rest for me, As I make my way across my soul, Venturing the rolling, black sea. I am engulfed by my insanity, No longer knowing where to turn, It seems my punishment is to be, For eternity I shall burn. Though not in Hell, And not Heaven, But in my own body, In every single crevice. It's not enough for me to be lonely, I deserve more than that, I am that someone, That darkness can hang it's hat. I'm it's doormat, For it to wipe it's dirty feet, Though it has no heart, I am more like it's pulse that's always off-beat. I'm it's place to call home, It's soul is where I'm within, Nothing to escape to now, Because the darkness is closing in.
