She dreamed the dreams that dreamers dream, It never seemed to be what it seemed. But the dream she dreamed that seemed so keen Seemed to rip at the seams.
She'd think the thoughts that thinkers thought. And fought for what she sought. But around the bend, and in the end, The dreamers dreams were naught.
She cried the tears that cryers cry, The lies fly from her eyes. For those who lied did not realize They'd jeopardize the dreamers dreams of life.
She fought the fights that fighters fight, To do for herself what was right. Pushing past obstacles fast, Struggling far into the night...
She suffered the consequences that sufferers consequently suffered, But around the bend, and in the end, The suffering held more than it offered.
She learnt the lessons that learners learned, Lessons of Life and Love. For those who lied, She did despise, But they were mere obstacles to overcome.
She jumped the hurtles that hurtlers jumped, When for a goal they aimed. She strove and strove and became morose, Not seeing through the rain, The success she's gained.
She dreamed the dreams that dreamers dream, It never seemed to be what it seemed. But in the end, What she'd sought, Those Dreamers dreams were naught, But reality...

i really like the way you've changed this... the new ending made the poem really that much stronger... keep dreaming your dreams, and maybe they'll become your reality too... Peace. Butterat Zool. |
