Mystical Melodies

Contributed by ginsdance on Wednesday, 18th September 2002 @ 04:49:02 PM in AEST
Topic: mythology

Mystical Melodies painted on wind,
Fairy wings gliding over the bend,
Unicorns prancing full of delight,
One little girl, in awe with the sight.
Crystal clear water bubbling forth,
Over hilltops and valleys, mapping a course,
Mermaids trilling, singing sweet songs,
Mystical Melodies just humming along.

Little mischievous elves playing in the shadows,
Leprechauns playing hide-in-seek in the meadows,
Fairy queens laughing, singing along,
Mystical Melodies playing all the night long.
Quiet foot falls as the child takes a step,
Giggling quietly brandishing a net,
The fairytale creatures run, and they hide,
But caught by the child, one fairy, sighs.

Mystical Melodies painted on wind,
The child giggles and lets the fairy fly on once again,
Just wanted to hear the beauty's sweet song,
But couldn't bear to imprison her for too very long,
So mystical melodies still hum and play,
But mum is all the child has to say.
Holding the secret close to her heart,
She sings Mystical Melodies all through the dark.
