Twenty-Two

Contributed by wachumiri on Wednesday, 24th March 2004 @ 03:44:37 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Oh the number
Twenty-two
Amazes me
Surprises you

So many things
To think about
Its easier, though
If you can count

The sum of eleven
And eleven more
And half of the number
Forty-four

Two-hundred twenty-two
Divided by ten
And that times one
Twenty-two again!

Oh what an interesting
Inside joke
And well doth it
The thought provoke

I'll echo Littleblondegirl here. There's an echo of your dad in there too!

This is a dangerous attempt at lowering yourself to the level of rhymester. You know what your mama always said... your face will stay that way.

HOWEVER, I will say that I enjoy the number too. It's a kind of ammunition, very inexpensive, easy to handle and fun.

Watch your topknot.

You know, Carrie told me she's obsessed with that number... I imagine it's sort of like me and the number 3, but...According to Tootsie Pops: "The world may never know"

Cute write.

Lotsa love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

Twenty-two works for me, too. I don't know the joke, but you wrote an interesting poem about something as mundane as a number. I found it well-written and unfaltering in its rhythm.

I think 22 was a good year in my life. As far as I can remember, at any rate.

Thanks for the read.

This is a clever and whimsical write.
Not everything has to be about life, death, and love.

The title of this poem attracted me and I am so glad that I stopped in to read it! I have something in common with that friend. Yeah, that number. I haven`t a clue why I like twenty two. Perhaps because of the 22 scadoo. Pick a number...I think 22.

Absolutely one of my favorite poems now.
