Oh how I hurt
This pain swallows me whole
It consumes my all
A torrent pouring over me
Washing me away
A delicate feather hurled about the waves
Each new wave lashing mercilessly
Tearing away all the beauty that once was
Leaving deep, lasting scars
Marring even the ugliness
Slowly stealing every breath that escapes my weary soul
A soul weary from carrying pain that never ceases
A feeling that only festers within leaving a desperate hope
A hope that fades so suddenly
Leaving the soul a barren wasteland
Only the crimson of an ongoing battle can be seen
Only unnatural cries can be heard
Striking terror into the hearts of all those who hear
Catching innocent bystanders in its wrath
Pain like this has no mercy
It devours everything
