Deep Well, Dark Night

Deep well, are you not filled...with my tears?
Dark night have you not enough...of my fears?
Shadows on the wall, did you learn for a book,
the shape of that broken heart you just took?
Pain, when will you end...and leave me free?
Heart, will you mend...and beat quietly for me?
Mind, what thoughts do you have yet in store,
more memories, washing like waves to the shore?
Ears, will you close...so I no longer hear the voice,
that had let my bodily senses rejoice.
Eyes, will sleep only bring more dreams...not rest,
as sighs of regret escape from my chest.?
Morning, will the sun again shine...pushing away the rain?
Hope, spring up from my soul....disperse the pain,
it needs to leave so I can once again live...
gather more trust, so I can again one day give.
