Dark corner of the sky I watch you sit and sigh Your wings folded under your chin I see that face and I grin
5,6,7 years gone by I remember you, I laugh and fly On formless wings of space and time I soar to you, friend of mine
Darkness hides you from my eyes Darkness cold and fleeting Covers you from feet to eyes In hopes to stop our meeting
It's been too long, I must confess since you and I have known happiness I know you yet know you not A friend I had, a friend I lost
Covers of Darkness I yank from your eyes I stare at you across the skies Your hair, your face, those deep blue eyes Stare back at me across these dark deep skies
I see you, yet I know you not A friend I had, a friend I lost Distant are you my angelic friend Distant are you remembering life from end to end
Mystery angel hidden away in the dark Mystery angel lost to the dark You could have lived You could have stayed
Yet gone were you seven years today I've lost you, you're never to return I shall never forget you, I say and then I turn You reach and grab me by the arm
You turn me back and hold me close A friend I lost, the one I miss the most
Life is different without you It will never be the same So long as I am without you I am not the same
You oh angel were myself My friend, my childhood dream I left you far behind one day For luscious grass so green
Never thinking, never turning back I left you that day Never looking back never wondering what became
Of my friend so dear to me I wander now alone My life is empty without truth Like you I'm left alone
