In-between

I look up to the sky and wonder
Why am I still here?
I look around me and see the dark
I look up to the sky and see the light
I'm in-between all that is everything
I look around me and see the mistakes
I look up to the sky and see a future
That's all my life consists of
I look inside of me and see everything
I look inside of me and see the hate within
I can't feel anything else in-between
I look at you and see your eyes
The questioning look of surprise
I look at you and see your eyes
They don't even see me anymore
I'm different than known before

I hate myself with everything
I love myself with nothing
Nothing changes as it goes on
I wait in vain too late
I've stretched the limit unforeseen
The line has been crossed once
Then twice unseen, it's the last time
For everything to be

There's no going back from this point
It's too late to regret the past actions
(I'm falling farther away)
With everything right there's two wrongs
The fight for nothing increases into war
My entire life is beginning to be torn

As I'm falling down into nothing
I stop in midair and wonder why
Why am I still here
While you took so many away?
Why am I left to stay?

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real

For some reason these lyrics from Nine Inch Nails stuck in my head while I read this..a TRUE POEM FOR THIS SITE..Never once think to yourself.."Should I be writing?"
