Bottled up inside
Are the words I never said,
The feelings that I hide,
The lines you never read.
You can see it in my eyes,
Read it on my face:
Trapped inside are lies
Of the past I cant replace.
With memories that linger-
Wont seem to go away.
Why cant I be happier?
Cuz todays a brand-new day.
The yesterdays are over,
Though the hurtings not.
Nothing lasts forever,
But we must cherish weve got.
You took my love for granted,
For then soon I was done-
All you ever wanted
Of the love you thought youd won.
The hurt were feeling now
Wont disappear overnight,
But someday, somehow,
Everything will turn out all right.
Ill love you now and always,
I truly, truly will.
You meant the world to me,
And I hope youll love me still.
No more wishing for the past.
It just wasnt meant to be.
It didnt seem to last,
So now I hope you see.
