A single withered rose
Whom the world only knows
Not as what she seems to be
But as a caged bird longing to be set free
If only once she could see a bright and sunny sky
Or perhaps soar with the angels up on high
To be free of the pain
She has wished for again and again
It may never be
For only HE can set her free
And as of late
I am afraid her fate
Does not look at all good
For by HIM she is misunderstood
He does not know how much she needs his love
For he was surely sent from winged Seraphim above
All she wants is for him to give her his heart
For hers has been with him from the start
And what could be a more happy day
When words will pass forth from his lips and his eyes will say
That he has love for her and that he always will
But, alas, that is only a dream that she wishes upon and longs for still
