The road stares blankly back
Empty of cars
With only the pavement glistening back under the night sky
Deafening silence broken with the sound
Of tires rolling over the tar and asphalt of the highway
Rolling, just as the thoughts roll
A constant circle, spinning
Until nothing is clear
All clarity is lost
Spiraling in a mist of blackness and silence
Broken only by the sound of tires on pavement and tears Splashing on the dashboard
