Just before midnight
My eyes are wider than ever
I left my sleep behind
To run off with my thoughts
My dreams and fantasies
Thinking of the impossible
Brings a rush of.....
It can't be described
But some how it manages
To take your breath away
Then on your face appears a smile
The excitement of the mind
Opens new doors
That hasn't been discovered
But it has been there before
Dreaming with my eyes open
My realities, my fantasies
Fused together to make
Heaven and Hell
Good and bad
Dead and alive
Am I alive?
Or am I living with dreams?

| No way, don't stop posting! There's no such thing as posting too much on YPDC. This was a lovely poem, I'm always wondering about the blur between my fantasies and reality. Cool write! |
