The Gem of the World

Contributed by danimus on Sunday, 28th March 2004 @ 01:19:56 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

I once knew a girl
She was the gem
Of my world
But I won't see her again
She was more than a stone
My most prized possession
When I felt alone
Her sounds were more than a message
When I dug into
Unfamiliar grounds
And I discovered a jewl
A girl to completely love was found
Now I feel cold, Love sick
I've been told, To get over it
But I lost the other half of my heart
And I can't dig because I think its my fault
"She was more than a stone
My most prized possession
When I felt alone
Her sounds were more than a message"
I hope someday before I'm old
My gem will come back to be
The filler of a gap to my soul
And brighten my world for me

Wonderful poem! The poem is quite sad but the ending is really hopeful! Best wishes!
