June 16

Contributed by Parrotwing on Wednesday, 31st March 2004 @ 12:19:54 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Today, dressed in white
I would have taken your hand
forever and always.
Life is cruel to some; those who love most must give most
and keep less than nothing.
You have changed so much,
become shallow and heartless.
I do not know you now.
There was a time when our future shone bright as love.
Time, and you, travel on...

I liked that part. It was very powerful. Nice.

Now that's a subject I haven't seen before.
Hope it doesn't come from experience.
Well expressed marital lament .
