And the struggle continues

Contributed by dAWn on Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 08:33:01 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I’m sitting here again
trying not to feel this pain
caused by the loneliness of my heart

look at myself – disdain!
my whole existence – vain!
and there’s no end in sight

every time there comes a wain
takes away all of my grain
- all the joy from life

my precious little insane brain
my little world, my little domain
my solitary padded cell

but no!

Life is something from what you should not refrain!
all the dragons can be slain!
there’s a morning after each night!

life is something you should drain!
with every pore and gladly, fain!
don’t let it pass you by

my composure I must regain
before I become a human stain
- a shadow avoiding the Light

……our happiness are reigns we should grasp……

That is easily related to Quite easily, in fact. I've also written of self struggles and your poem really hits home. I like the scheme and rhythm as well. Just remember: If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.
Smile for me,
