you taught me
what a friend
really was
in a world
filled with hate
that i dignified
with such haste
my mistakes
will haunt me so
but you yourself
was no mistake
that me you saw
when this first started
is the me
that i am
and i must prove
that my hate
is forever gone
i now see
what life has become
i said i was happy
but not just yet
i need that friendship
that we had
before that day
my world crumbled
so ill know im forgiven
for all the hatred
that i showed you
so i wont feel this shame i feel
that haunts me so
i lost you in my faults
but i dont want to faulter no more
i learn from mistakes
it just took me awhile
to learn
