THE LIFE I LIVED

I LIVED THE LIFE MY WAY,
WITHOUT A WISH DID'NT SPENT A DAY;
MY HEART WAS THE GUIDE, HE TAUGHT MY BRAIN,
IT KEPT ALL GOLD AND REST WENT DOWN DRAIN;
WHATEVER I WISHED, BECAME MINE,
NEVER I WAITED IN A LINE;
MY RELATIONS WERE FRAMED TO MY DESIRE,
TOO STRONG WERE THESE FRAGILE WIRES;
THE DAY NEVER TURNED THAT MADE ME CRY,
ALL MY LIFE, THESE EYES REMAINED DRY;
HOPE THE LINES ABOVE COMES TRUE FOR ONE,
THOUGH ' I ' BECAME THE PART OF NONE;
ALTER THEIR MEANING AND WATCH THE FUN,
I CAN BET, IT WILL MELT THE SUN;
I GOT ALONG WITH ALL HE GAVE TO SUSTAIN,
TRIED TO MOVE WELL AND MAKE JOYS RETAIN;
PATEINTLY WAITED FOR A BRIGHT NEW DAY,
BUT NEVER A DAY CAME THAT COVERED ALL GREY;
MY BEING OPTIMIST DID'NT LEAD THE DESIRED LANE,
ALL MY EFFORTS, ALL MY DREAMS WENT IN VAIN;
STILL, THE WET EYES SEARCH THE LONELY STREETS,
THERE MAY BE SOMEONE WAITING WITH GENUINE GREETS!
