I met a friend, oh! what a friend
he touched my heart and touched my soul
he gave me inspiration, helped make me whole.
he made me warm and filled my soul
how i love my warm whole soul.
felt this calm and peaceful soul,
for the moment my heart is whole
can i keep it i don't know
but while i feel it i'm taking hold.
this is mine and i feel whole,
my friend has helped and warmed my soul
oh! how he has filled this hole
