Each day
I get closer
to the light.
I can see
glimmers.
As I see
those close to me
get closer than I.
And I acknowledge
it's there,
but then let it pass.
As I have
better things
to do.
I have
the journey
to complete.
But I still
intend
to slow my advance
as much as possible.
But know,
that eventally,
my light
will join that light.
And it will be
up to others
to keep
my light burning.
