My mama always told me
To watch before I cross the street
Dont talk to strangers
And be careful about the people I meet
Always be nice to my elders
Always use my right manners
And dont forget to brush my teeth
Be true to my friends
But mostly to myself
But she for got to tell me
About the guys I will meet
About drugs and alcohol
And how sex will hurt me
She forgot about the condoms
About whiting till marriage
And the baby I will have at 13
She said she knew everything
And if I listened to her my life would
Be a breeze
But she for got to tell me
About thee guy who would rape me
And the child I would have at the age of 13
