Darkness Avenue

Contributed by Arrundel on Monday, 5th April 2004 @ 07:07:09 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

On the corner of 5th and Pain
Lies a street without a name
Once was thought to not exist
Now is found but veiled in mist
Alone it stands without a soul
Black as night and black as coal
And if you look unto the moon
A gleeful one would hear a tune
An evil one a curse Im sure
None would live its far from pure
The life I know would thrive down hear
Every death and every tear
So if you come upon this street
Look for me then have a seat
My life is now a demons toy
It stole from me my love and joy
Please try not to pray for me
Im all alone and lost at sea
So darkness now controls my life
My fate lies on a double-edged knife

This is really good! It's sad and dark at the same time. Has a great flow. You have a beautiful style of writing. Welcome to YPDC.
