i came to you so peacefully
you returned to me like thugs
my words and thoughts so calm
you gave me punches in return for my hugs
each word you spit leaves a bruise on my flesh
and everytime you turn around you puncture my soul again
stabbing me with your hatred and your lack of care
why do i continue to try though my odds are negative to ten
you left me on the floor battered and broken
so there is no reason repeating
all the words that were spoken
in the conversation of a baseball bat beating
