Disharmony

Contributed by pl_rage on Wednesday, 7th April 2004 @ 07:25:47 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A single thought sets the string in motion
Never properly tuned for a vacant chamber
A note of pain vibrates through every fiber
No counterpart to create a perfect harmony
The first note dies and slowly fades away
Aching echoes cast a shadow of melancholy
New darker thoughts begin to emerge
Playing with emotions raw from past abuse
The resulting melody is terribly chaotic
Striking discord on a whole new scale
There is no way to escape the pandemonium
Caught in the crescendo of repressed feelings
Suffering deeply under this pounding onslaught
Love can hurt in such a wide range of ways
All alone in this heartrending symphony
Bearing the loneliness in unvoiced agony
Soon the dismal pain clouds all awareness
The world is a bleak scene for one alone
A thought of love was the provenance
Sole producer of this mood altering opus

Sad, but beautiful. So touching, a very good poem.
