Upon the same heavens, Gazes our family of ancestors, Amazed by the beauty of the Midnight skies that festered. Glittering stars stud as jewels Upon the dark canopy, Boasting of distant worlds, Spawning this crystal tapestry. They sang together at birth On a par, A witness to man and earth Beneath the stars. They beheld Lucifer in infamy, And witness the deeds of cain. Echoed in the frail darkness at Calvary, When the gental Christ was slain. Enduring countless years, They remain undimmed in Brightness and grandeur. And when we are long beneath The green sward, They will cast their pale radiance Over the tombs in which we will Forever repose. A signature undenied From infancy this we've known By the writings in the sky.
