So the days go by and never return
And tomorrow turns into today
The past soon forgotten
And the future is now
And the beauty of youth fades away
So the friendships you vowed to always keep
Turn into distant memories
And the bonds break apart throughout the years
Like the falling of a mighty tree
So life creates life before turning to death
Absorbed into the earth
And the harsh reality that always is
Makes you question your own self-worth
So you're faced with the decision
Of which bridges you should burn
So life is ever changing
And so the leaves must turn.
