The moment of truth, Whether airplane or shotgun, Or poison or arrow, Is what keeps them alive. Their caution stands by them, They work with their passion, So late in the office, Ignoring their lies.
The method not fickle, The moment important, To see sweet eyes twinkle, Then just fade away. Transparent reflection, A diverse collection, Of pity and sorrow, And greed here today.
Like lovers at sunset, They gaze down with wonder, Whilst hideous people, Contort at their will. They sense the end coming, Their heads full of sonnets, Morality calling, To maim and to kill.
Response to the outcry Said such all known convicts, And find us a killer, That nobody knows. With ten thousand suspects, Whose eyes all scream guilty, The public is happy, But where did they go?
With solace in beauty, He stares at the heavens, And prays hard to their God, To give them a sign. A falling star dazzles, And kickstarts his logic, It's back to his duty. It's firework time.
With twenty to thirty, The immigrant lies there, Sharing his cell, With a good cherokee. For soon falls conviction, Those folk prefer fiction, In the home of the brave, And the land of the free.
Relaxed in his small mind, The press of a button, Sends shockwaves through downtown, As souls are released. The cable reporter, (The rich chairman's daughter) Was killed when, This awful device was unleashed.
Unscrupulous killers, This tribe who slay sinners, They all must be captured, As good must prevail. Avoid all confusion, Let's bomb in profusion, And turn the third world, To an atomic hell.

We had a war in 1939, A war to end all wars. I often ask myself why so many people had to die. bernard |
