the voice in sonia's mirror

THE VOICE IN SONIAS MIRROR

Laid upon the table
Face against the wood
I felt the presence calling me
Look at me.I should

My fingers touched the smoothness
Each nail, manicured
I then began to grab the handle
My heart excited, like a butterfly, it stirred

Bit by bit I brought it higher
The mirror would surely show
My reflection that showered radiance
Look at me, my face surely glows

Greeted by blonde colour
Soft hair from my shampoo
Makeup done to perfection
Beauty I have, this I knew

You wished the mirror was lying
As my reflection looked so good
Great looks are one thing that I have
And you wished you could

I smeared on the calling of my foundation
Putting it on with ease
I felt the calling of by brows
Help me I need to be teased

Then I heard a whisper in my ear
Blusher oh what good passion
Someone was next to me saying
Go on show your sense of fashion
I then applied some rosy lipstick
My completion I do embrace
Then again I looked upon my reflection
This foundation really suits my face

Lip-gloss on my lips, oh how so refreshing
Mascara on my lashes I do adore
Then again the voice appeared
Dont be scared apply some more

Then the voice stopped coming
I didnt need his advice, Im glad he went away
Ill tell you a secret, dont tell Siobhan
I borrowed her wrinkle cream the other day

An interesting take on a mirror. I read this twice and was enthralled.

Very interesting poem.
