Tunnelled into the mind's eye it races. What a thought possessed or taken of, Leading down these tracks Into the depths and thick malaise. Praise black for its name, The pitch of it - A haunting refrain - What lies beneath and Over dead bodies, The train of derails Colliding with carriages of itself. A thoughtless thought Has imagined itself Unwell.

A poignant use of imagery in explaining the emptiness and futility of wandering thoughts. Such a powerful description perhaps of a literal retelling of "Much ado about nothing".... round an droun in circles.. our berating thoughts does sometimes fly. |
