If I hold you, then I own you, the kind of rules that you live by. I can't waste the time, to get to know you, I couldn't see you if I tried- I have been blinded for so long, my eyes hurt in the light- Of all you left behind.
If you were a man, you wouldn't take my hand, You shouldn't lead me back to where we've been, You couldn't if you were really my friend. How can you remind me, of all the reasons you can't hold me, of all the lies you told me, And a pain that won't let go of me.
Now I'm hollow where it counts- You made me a prisoner too and there's no way out- Seems you always knew I'm only free with you.

I like it, I was hooked in at the first line, then you pulled a change on me and your poem wasn't what I expected... I guess I read the first line differently than I should have, nicely done though, even if it's not normally my thing. |

Nicely written. I feel like that inside to like a prisoner. |
