NOT OUT TO IMPRESS
YOU OR
HER OR
HIM.
I'LL PLAY IT BY EAR- BUT NO ONE ELSE'S BUT MY OWN!
AND I SUFFER SOMETIMES
SOMETIMES LATELY
REARRANGE MY WORDS

REANYLYZE MY LIFE-
NO- NOT FOR YOU
FOR MYSELF
FOR THE PART OF ME THAT STILL SHOUTS OUT IN THE DARK-
FOR THE LITTLE GIRL WHO'S LEFT ALONE TO PLAY IN THE PARK
FOR ME
FOR ALL THE SMILES I MUST FAKE
PUT ON THIS SHOW
SO NO ONE WILL KNOW-
SO YOU WON'T REMEBER!
I LOVE YOU-
AND MAYBE I WON'T MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE-
BUT I AM STILL SOMEONE WHO MAKES SENSE.

Often we need to take time out to take stock of our lives and understrand where we've changed and to examine the impact of love on us. You have expressed these thoughts well in this poem.
